Children’s Books for Hope

Putting books in the hands and homes of children in need.

Waukesha Reads is collecting new and gently used children’s books for the Free Children’s Library located at Waukesha’s Hope Center.

Books needed include:

  • Infant/toddler board books
  • Children’s picture books
  • School-age chapter books

Over 1,000 books are given away each month to children in need in our community. Your help is needed to maintain this library. Please share “like new” books your family has outgrown or used book sale finds, or even consider purchasing new books to donate.

Books are a luxury that many families cannot afford, yet there is no question that children having books in their home encourages reading… and that reading initiates an interest in our world and success in school!

Books will be collected at all Waukesha Reads events, at most Waukesha Reads partner organizations, or they can be dropped off directly at Hope Center located at 502 East Avenue in Waukesha.
